Still somewhat under the radar but starting to gain some serious momentum round London town, these boys are playing very heavy and technically tight warm up sets everywhere at the moment it seems, and are establishing themselves as firm favourites of a few very big names in the process. Rising stars Heavy Knights have just been awarded a residency here at Deathwish Disco. A set prepared and reserved for the raving, sweaty masses at Glade, will now be delivered directly to your ears at 93 Feet East. Having been booked to play at Glade Festival on this very night, we have been extremely lucky (sorry Glade) at booking this gentleman in. In keeping with our music policy, Mr Cunning has too earned a name for himself recently dropping the harder tinged dub influenced tunes out there whilst simultaneously carrying the breaks torch forwards. Catch them while you can!įamed for his Kiss100 radio shows and 5 year residency at The End with Andy C's Ram Records, Jay is well known for his seminal sets, immaculate mixing and always rocking up with a bag of serious tunage. If you havent heard this tune in the last few months, you really havent been going to the right places. Producers like CTRL Z are what is breathing life back into the breakbeat sound and pulling more and more influences through it, whether it's using elements of old skool, dubstep or trance, these guys are leading the pack in terms of samping, remixing and creating something new, fresh and heavy. CTRL Z have been absolutely pivotal in the rise of this banging new sub-genre with release after release through Never Say Die Records and mix after mix never failing to amaze. Having been smashing up the scene for almost a decade, Team Deathwish are very pleased to be announcing this new alliance and to be working with such big players in the scene. Headlining this month are much loved, critically acclaimed, Breakspoll nominated, internationally celebrated breakbeat heroes CTRL Z!! They will be gracing us with their in-demand presence and a big box full of filthy bassline driven, breakbeaty, techy, dubsteppy nastiness. So, who's going to be making all the racket then? And what a place to do it! Our first gig at 93 will be totally free of charge and 100% in line with our music policy breaks that sounds like dubstep, dubstep that sounds like breaks and absolutely everything you can fit between those two, all with the addition of our wicked new room 2.ĬONFIRM ON FACEBOOK NOW SO WE CAN NOTIFY YOU ON EXCLUSIVE DEATHWISH DISCO MIXES FROM SOME OF THE DJS LISTED BELOW - ITS GONNA BE MASSIVE!! We've still got a lot of love for our New Cross roots, but needed to take a step up in terms of capacity and noise making ability. On the 16th July Deathwish Disco returns with a vengeance, an ear spanking line up and a lovely new home.
